- Everyone should go check out the Mirah/The Blow show happening at Brandeis tonight at Chum's Coffeehouse. It's free, open to anyone, and being put on by an awesome student group, The Punk Rock and Roll Club. There is a shuttle that picks people up from Harvard Yard and Mass Ave/Beacon Street, so check out the site for their shuttle and plan your trip!
- I added a ton of new shows to the list, including some very, very sweet shows happening at the Tufts Oxfam Cafe, also being put on by awesome people. Highlights include Ampere/Meneguar, Ratatat, and Sinoloa, so you should all be psyched for those.
- I added some links to some great student-run Boston music magazines, Tastemakers (Northeastern University) and Melisma (Tufts). Check them both out!
- Finally, check out Antenna Alliance (http://www.antalliance.org), a Boston based no profit recording label/collective/a million other things. They are doing some very cool stuff and will most definitely be making some big announcements in the months to come. In regard to that, also check a blog run by Northeastern University journalism major and musician, Dani Capalbo, is documenting Antenna Alliance as well as the free culture movement. Check out her blog, A Free Sound, at http://afreesound.blogspot.com/
edit: Mirah/The Blow are playing two free shows in NYC this weekend/next week. Check it out on the sidebar!
